i just got a 2*33v Toroidal core 50va. but i got just a slight more voltage than 230v so it is outputting 2*39v just about 80v and the preamp need about 60v... is there any way to make it output 60v??? or should i just throw it into the corner and buy another???

Why don't you unwind the transformer ?
Helped me too, and a lot cheaper than throwing it in the corner and buying a new one. you could spend the money you save on some exotic capacitors or other stuf.Grtz, Nick |

The output voltage probably will drop a few volts (~5%) under load.
