you can use a second microcontroller for a source selector of up to 8 sources :

or build any kind of source selector you want in front of my volume control. There is no need to use it as 2 sorces input selector.

2) i use some hysteresis in my firmware, but this did not fully eliminate all noise, 2 position changes still showed some click.

there are 2 different modes the relays are switched implemented in the code, the user can choose which he likes better: read description under "first start"

Till, thank you for your help. I will dive more into your homepage and the circuits, all is very interesting and seems pretty straightforward to me (since i'm still a beginner in electronics and diy audio, everything which I can figure out how it works, is straightforward...)
