but why 2 switches on the front plate ?

I think he is using an output delay relais. Something with a simple circuit using NE555. It is manually controlled with a switch.

How did you do the front, it looks very clean. Sandpaper by hand? Did you put something on it to prevent fingerprints?

I also like the rounded corners.

( I presume its aluminium).

I noticed on the PassDiy site an explosion of Aleph 5's posted in
the Gallery... seems like they're very popular right now.
