When you shut off the amp, how long does the music play?

Why do you care this? Power amp is normally the first equipment to turn off anyway!

It depends on the Caps and bias. I have 56000uf, .15 ohm, 56000Uf per rail. The bias draw is 3 amps per rail. It stays on for a couple of seconds.

I asked this question by curiosity, because with 88000 uF by rail (4 x 22000 like on the schema of Mr Pass), I'm surprised to see that when I turn off the amp the music continues to play for only 1 seconde.
I'm not anxious, but I wanted to know if it was the same thing for everybody. |

It also depends on what you are playing (hard beats vs. a single tone from a test CD), the former will play for less time than the latter, its just a question of how the energy is extracted from the capacitors...
also depends on the volume of the preamp cheers |

The turn off time is about a second, and really doesn't depend
significantly on what you're playing. |

Thank you Mr Pass, I said I wasn't anxious but it wasn't really true.
Mr PASS, you know what? YOUR Aleph 3 is marvellous. |
