BOSOZ:Hooking up the inputselector and attenator

A newbie question:
I am just about to hook up the dact inputselector and the dact attenuator with my line stage from http://web.vip.hr/pcb-design.vip/bls.html . I am a little blurry regarding the wiring. I was thinking about using the input selector between the rca input and the board input, and the attenuater between the board output to rca output. Is there another way?

Hi, That's probably how most folks put it together. Nelson has mentioned in past threads that attenuation is better placed on the output of the BOSOZ rather than the input. Remember that if you ever want to operate the BOSOZ in XLR/balanced mode you need to attenuate both the + and - signals, and you would need a 4 deck attenuator.

The BOSOZ really shines in balanced mode, especially if you use a balanced signal source.
