which shoudl i choose....i have bounced this question back and forth now....
IRFP140 IRFP240 IRFP250 wich would be the best for alpeph 4 (in your opinion) or shold i go for something else?? micke |

The Master uses IRFP240 or derivatives thereof.
If you pick of MJ Audio Musings or something like that (Japanese mag, only found it once), you will see a lot of references to other more esoteric devices. Harris Ultrafets etc. Perversely, you should look for devices which have a relatively high on-resistance (due to lower input capacitance). Naturally big package and low thermal resistance is a bonus. Nelson Pass (The Master) has commented on this in another thread recently. Petter |
