Default power supply caps

For the Aleph 2 circuit, 4 22,000 MFD caps are specified. Is this the same as having 2 44,000 MFD caps?

next question, if 4 22,000 MFD is equivalent to 2 44,000 MFD, which is better and why?

Thanks Mike

Yes and 4 caps might have a lower ESR all things being equal.
