Good afternoon Gentlemen,
I am going to build a preamplifier to drive my newly finished Zen V4. I can get circuit cards for both the BOSOZ and Aleph P1.7. I unfortunately have never listened to, nor will get the chance to listen to either preamplifiers before deciding which one to build. Just for the hey of it, which one would you build if you were in the same situation and why? As always your help is always appreciated and taken very seriously.

I would (and have) build the X-BOSOZ.........
The reason for this is the X, and the simplicity of the circuit without any current sources. Sounds really great (balanced)! William

I have heard the Aleph and liked but not that version. Where do you get the Bosoz and Aleph PCBs these days?

If you don't have a balanced source, I'd go for the P1.7 or a CCS Z-BOSOZ, since they do unbalanced to balanced conversions better than the BOSOZ.
In the process of CCS and X ing my BOSOZ. |

I would go with P1.7.
It has the X-feedback. It has the CCS too. |
