Mosfet Regulator Question

I'm working on a preamp power supply that will require three different voltages (5, 24 and 60). I found a wealth of information digging through the Aleph/Zen preamp manuals/articles and believe I understand the basics of how to configure a mosfet voltage follower regulator. However, one question remains...

In the Aleph P 1.7 schematic, the regulator for the relay supply and display board supply have resistors from the mosfet's source to ground. (10K for the relay supply, not specified for the display board). I'm not sure I understand the function of these resistors, and why they are needed for these two regulators, but not the main preamp supply regulator. Perhaps there is a need to keep some current flowing when none of the relays are energized?

If someone could provide an explanation, it would be most appreciated.

Rory
