I was wondering what was keeping you so quiet...
If I ever actually finish it, I'm inviting everyone over for a party.
Look what I found on ebay... two treasures, even a 2SJ27 with it
Looks like an old promotional item of Yamaha in a very expensive case.
How did they get this? Steal it from museum?
Anyway, for 255$ it is yours
They probably build it just to able to get that high price.
It's an idea, I still have a few. Could pay for my next holiday

Can you tell us in what city and state you are now living? It will make a lot easier to attend the party.
Still Ohio. Little town called Canal Fulton.

...I vastly underestimated the effort required to get everything done.
Don't we all?!!!
I'm impressed with what you've done so far. Keep up the good work!
Getting there. Like all of my projects, I vastly underestimated the effort required to get everything done.
Looks nice
Any use in construction " audiophile grade " materials for better listening room acoustic ?
The listening room is kinda plush, the rest is a little more utilitarian.
Just standard construction with plenty of insulation. It will double as a theater.
Thanks guys. I'll try to do a walk-through video when the finish work is done.

Both work area and listening room look fun so far!

Yes, the audio room. The forgotten system tweak.
Absolutely. When I read heated arguments about caps and resistors, I often want to say: 'If you think caps and resistors change the sound, try moving your chair six inches.'
We moved 6' tall Sound Labs a couple of inches and the sound was altered. In same room, placed a 3'x6" sound absorbing panel on a beam above the listeners seat. The Bass improved. Took it down and bass lost definition. We both heard the same thing so unless it's mass hystetia, rooms are important.

Stopped there for ice cream once -- close to buggy territory.
