Nice 2Pico!
That is Zen Mod's work.
I will have something to show if you like
Ok you want porn.
Here ya go.
1,320,000 uF
I got a little cap the size of a walnut with 4 times that capacitance
Holy soldering smoke that is THE PSU's !these are for Sissies
Superb power wire wound resistors for CRC as well
excellent choice , sound goooood & not Sissies build
Applause
Here ya go.

Better have first caps after primary in CRC string with less ~ 50 KuF capacitance.
Small +R+Big or
Small +R+Big +R+Big Cap
Just my 2 uA

I have been looking for a good regulator circuit for 19volts at 5 amps or so and decided to try the circuit in post #101 - I have super clean DC on the base of Q1 but the base of Q2 looks a mess. I tried connecting 1000uf between the base of Q2 and ground but that turns the mess into a sawtooth wave 30mv pp which becomes worse at the output of Q3.
Can anyone offer any advice as to how to clean up the DC at the output?

Power supply
Bias is 4.5 amps, maybe I’ll tweak it up a little if I switch from IRFP240 to IRFP150 output devices so I need to comfortably peak at 10 amps or so. Ideally I would like to have just 2 pass devices on the heatsink (because I have limited space to fit the devices) but if I need to use more I’ll have to figure something out.
