do i need a preamp for a 5 to 10 watt soz if i use a cd-player? thank you for your answer al |

hi al,
depends on your CDP. You will need a low impedance source (output of CDP) to drive SOZ. But its no problem to try it, and in case it sounds bad or you prefer with preamp, simply build a BOZ or BZLS. |

SOZ really likes a balanced source at 1-2v amplitude, some thing like the BZLS. Driven unbalanced you loose gain and you gets more distortion. Regards Henrik.
