Default Information on S/250

Hi

Anyone has schematic on S/250? I have been searching for schematic, info and comment on this. all I know so far is it's seems like to a newer generation amp between 92 to 94. Are they any good? How does it compare to the older S300 etc.?

Thanks

I sold my stock in '87 and left in '91. That would have been after my time.

Thanks Mr. Pass. That's all I need to know. I only want to buy your designs.

I really want to get the S/300 with optical bias. I might have a chance to get a S/500, but it's a lot higher price, I am still weighting on it.

Thanks Mr. Pass, I have the schematic. I really like the design. I am building my own amp with EF output, I want to hear what's the difference between the common EF output vs the best of CFP like yours.

I want the highest quality amp as reference.......Your amp. Not only I am going to enjoy your amp, I am going to use it as a standard to compare with whatever amp I'll be building.

I was going to buy the Nakamichi PA-7 which is very similar to your S300, but I prefer to stay with Threshold as you have the extra cascode VAS stage..... Unless you tell me that Nakamichi PA-7 is just as good.

Thanks

Hi, apparently Nakamichi made a few bad decisions, so both the PA5 and PA7 needs a little bit of modification to really sound their best. Without modding, they are (reportedly) not as good as the Threshold originals. There are some threads on this topic around here..
- But they sure look cool
