First off, thanks to Papa. He taught me everything I know (still much to learn)
Second, thanks to everyone regarding advice with PCB layout. I definitely learnt a few things (copper pour), as well as picked up some things that needed changing (pad sizes etc). This probably won't be the last iteration of the pcb, but it's a start.

I'll try and get one channel built ASAP

Ok here is the finished product.
Made a few changes to the board, probably make some more changes with layout and copper pours with future updates.

As soon as I have put a square wave through it and confirmed gate resistance values, then I'll post full schematic.

Maybe just a quick statement of what it is? Did a search on "eSCAPEd" and got a bunch of "escaped" posts. Could do a "goat" search, but I'm guessing all of those posts would be about Bill Buckner.

It's my design so you won't find it anywhere. Actually it's a modified version of one of Papa's amps but all design decisions are mine using his topology. Neary impossible to design something completely original these days. I have many more ideas though which I will be building.

Started matching Lateral Mosfets.
The first three N channel mosfets measured, match amazing well. Bloody beautiful

I purchase a tube of each from the same manufacturing run.
Really impressed with how good they are matching so far. I've never seen any other devices that have matched this well.
I haven't started measuring the P channel parts yet.

Ah, I think I have seen those exact FETs released by at least three different 'manufacturers' with Exicon being one of them. Will have to dig around to see if I can find the others...

Yeah I think the BUZ and ALFET series made by Semelab are most likely the same.

Yeah I think the BUZ and ALFET series made by Semelab are most likely the same.

All nice parts from the look of them. I have a bunch of the Semelab, and if
you can put up with the lower transconductance (and in this sandbox you
certainly can) then they all have lots of uses.

Very interesting. The diagram on page 2 suggests each SOT227 device is four MOSFETs in parallel. Guess that makes sense with the 'x4' attached to the end of the part number. Laterals again, I suppose, since they are specified for audio use?
