Hello Fellow amp builders, Hows that for ideas! Tap points along the CCS, Shade feedback & impedance reduction with an input tranny. Then a 50w single output device SE amp

Any suggestions on heat sinks? I think I heard papa say in the talk that dissipation is 90W!

Thanks, ZM - I like the Austerlitz stuff but given the size it will be, it may cost as much as a mint Trabant!

I was hoping someone might already have ideas on specific makes and models that would work.

Default Heat

Heat is definately problem with 180W dissipation on one channel. That is the main reason I avoid building Class A amplifiers having more than 10W of output power. I think it would be good idea to use SMPS power supply for lighter, smaller and more efficient PSU.

I enjoyed the coverage of this great event which relayed a broad range of interesting and inspiring information. I was also glad to actually see the participants in action instead of just their static photos; a definite treat. Many thanks and appreciation to Mr. Rothacher, the presenters, attendees, and all behind the scenes who made this event a reality.

Well, after seeing some of the coverage, my decision to skip BAF this year suddenly looks a lot less smart...
Ahh well, there's always going to be next year.

YAY!!!

That was FUN!!

The venue was fantastic, much better than I ever would have expected, the sound was pretty darn good in the small rooms, there was a bunch of stuff new to the show, and lunch was great!

But best of all, I got to hang out with BA friends, as well as meet new friends and put faces together with people whom I've only known as forum names. Great fun!
