Zen Amp Problem

Hi All,

I'm having a problem with my original zen amp. The left channel's output is really low, but not distorted. The right channel is ok. The night before, both channels worked fine.

With just my senses I can see no problems, nothing smells burned, the heat sinks are exibiting equal heat output by touch in both channels. I did hear a POP in the speakers when I turned it on. To be sure nothing else in the chain is the probelm, I hooked up the CD player outs directly to the Zen.

Could it be a blown MosFet even though the heat outout is the same? Maybe the gate of the Fet is gone because of the pop I heard at turn-on? I don't know.

I have an analog and digital meter for testing.

Any ideas where to look would be helpful!

No, the orginal Zen, with 2 amp bias, no feedback, cap-coil-cap power supply.

I was thinking it might be the CCS, because the audio coming out is low and not distorted. Maybe something went wrong there?

you can start with measuring the voltages on G,D and S on both mosfets on both channels
