Hello, sorry for bring this matter up one more time but i got a 650VA toroid
trafo with 2x17v sec and recommended for F5 is 18v on sec so i wonder if
this 17 volt would be ok or is the voltagedrop gonna be too much ?
One big reason i ask it's the fact i almost got'it for scrap value.

If it's a good price, then buy it.
Don't worry too much, because as already said, the output voltage depends also on the transformer's load. You can download this here PSUD2
, type in the data of the transformer, set up a load and see how it behaves.

And if you want to gain a few 0.1 volts back, use schottky diodes to rectify.

Best regards,
Matthias

PS:
In general you have every time the possibility -- while the heatsinks stay at the same temperature, inrease voltage and lower amperage, or vice versa. This you could use if you have speakers of lower impedance, say 4Ohms or lower. Or to make a bridget amp. See as a example EUVL's F5x and his design considerations.
