F6 Illustrated Build Guide

1) Remove Bulb Tester
2) Put in regular power cord
3) Bias to 0.25V across source resistors
4) Check dc offset

Now increase Vgs to 3 V and check everything.
Then increase Vgs to 3.5 and check everything

Turn each pot a little bit at a time while watching your multimeters

You should have one measuring Voltage across R1 or R2, and the other multimeter measuring dc offset

Let it warm up and check everything is still good

If everything is still good we will proceed to next stage.

I connected the WM directly to the power line, no Isolation trans. Humming still! Arggggg! I don't think it's a grounding issue...everything is lifted or floated. But I am seriously wondering if the input decoupling caps are not shielded enough. When i touch them the hum gets louder.

someone's OCD

you mean CDO? :D

In anycase, I need some of that CDO now!
