so , no eeny weeny FW amps
depending on your DIY skills , you can choose between F6 , F4 (if you have enough potent preamp, F4 not having voltage of his own) , F5 (my least fave , being too righteous ) ,BA3 , Aleph J .......
though , my latest Babelfish J iteration can be good solution too (being cascoded in FE , so higher wattage possible) but you decide is this blatant advertising ...... or friendly advice

Blatant or no, it's good advice....

Blatantly good advice.
Alex, what sort of front end (source/preamp) will you be using?
Dennis
hi Dennis,
Nothing new! I have a dynaco PAS 3 and a Lenco L75 being changed, a philips cd 204, an audio DAC GD 19MKIII with interfaces and power supply
Thx Cal
two stage ECC83 (12AX7) with tons of feedback just doesn't cut it ..... it isn't in same league with FW amplification
however you tweak it or hot rod it
Yup, it creams it....
Sounds like BA-3 preamp and Pearl 2 is a winning combination.
Dennis
Yup.
