First, hello everybody, I am first time here, and my english is not so good, so excuse me.
So I have problems with my zen V4. Everything look fine, when I checked DC voltages everything is good instead of voltages on FETs, there is 3 volts instead 4 (between G and S). Signal part of amp working (Q1), but when I connect current part (Q2), amp stops to work at all. I tried with one 150W bulb instead current part (Q2), like in ZENlite, and look at this, amp works but i think not so good. From 2 V on input I got 10V on output, if i increase input voltage, there is a lot of distortion. I checked all parts million times, I try to change caps and FETs. Maybe is something wrong with them, because i use IRF044N instead of IRF044, I tried with IRF140N, same situation. PCB is 100000% o.k. Wich part could be critical? Why this beatiful amp dont want to work for me. Here is my PCB, montage layout... thanks very very much.... Trancy |

I'm sorry that you haven't received a response yet,
but I don't know what it is either. That means it's something dumb. |

sorry for inconvenience..it was really something very stupid....my mistake I belive....now at last, V4 playing....its a little bit too hot I think....It works with 3,75A current, but I will reduce that probably...my speakers are 4 ohms, but there is enough power...also my new penultimate is a little bit too much noisy with no signal on input, but I belive that will disapear after finishing all....(ground points and other viring)....which parts have influence to noise??
thank you ... trancy |

Good for you. I would only evaluate the amp noise
with a source impedance or the input grounded. |
