setup for my aleph 2 (monobloc)
Looking for a definitive answer to my setup. 1 Plitron 1500VA 38V (not yet purchased) 2 60V 49000uf + 2.2mH + 2 60V 49000uf Using 38*1.4 = we get 53.2 I know under real world load we should use 1.2 -1.3, but using 1.4, will VA rating on those caps be sufficient? The caps are Vishay/Sprague 75-36DE493G060CF2A. Since I have already purchsed the caps, I am hoping that they will suffice. Thanks to all in advance. John |

All you need is a 1KW transformer, Avel Lindberg sales them for $86.00 each, Just as good a Piltron. Bridge diodes, some International Rectifier fast recovery diodes will generate less HF noise. Bypassing the electrolytic caps with a 2uf + a .1 polypropylenes will help too.
