1 ohm resistors?

Hi!
Mad K and Henrik! I saw your schematics of the XSOZ variations and I would like to ask is it realy possible to leave out the R5-6-7 1Ohm power resistors from the circuit? I saw that you leave out even the wire connection between R3 and R4? Could you tell me why is this better and is it also possible with the original SOZ?
What is the consequence if I use higher value resistors for R1-2-3-4? I mean over 8 ohms?
Thanks!

Hi Tyimo

R7 in the original SOZ keeps the gain down.
When you apply X to soz you loose some gain caused by the feedbackloop.
By shorting R7 you get max gain from the diffpair.
When R7 is shorted it means that R5 and R6 is coupled in parallel and is then considerd as one resistor at 0.5 Ohm.
R3 an R4 is also parallel and as such works as one resistoer at 4 Ohm.
R5/6 and R3/4 is coupled in series wich mens they operate as one resistor at 4.5 Ohm when R7 is shorted.

If you use greater values, you primarily looses some power.
