BOZ transistor choice

hi i have almost completed my BOZ, but i am having problems with the power suppy transistor - i ordered the TIP29C instead of the TIP29CGE because i couldn't get hold of it - will this be a problem with the working of the Pre AMP?

Alos, i am using polerised 'cheap' capacitors instead of the square capacitors in the output/imput stage, will they work and if so which way should they go?

The 29C should be fine.

The + of the capacitors point toward the transistor.

thanks - i have almost completed the pre amp appart from a couple of resistors and the transistor - it should sound amazing, especially when it is compared to my sansui R-7 (from 1970's )

Sony, Mac, and what have you. It was a great part
of my education.

Jim Williams of Linear Technology (I think that's his name) says the same thing, except his was test equipment. His boss made him fix his own test equipment, and he says this made him a better designer.
