Default Center tapped transformer for stereo pass f5

I have 400va 18-0-18 center tapped transformer, two full bridge rectifiers and Jims Audio power pcb (4+4 smooting caps) designed for pass amps.
Is it possible to use center tapped transf. like 18-0, 18-0 ? I mean splitting ground "0" wire in two for two bridges works ? or is there any other method which is better to get two separate +- 24v out ?
thanks..

You only need one bridge -

Look at the last schematic from this link if you have 2 independant bridge :

Solid State Power Amplifier Supply Part 1

For even better power supply, read part 2 and 3.

A dual secondary transformer can be "converted" to centre tapped by simply wiring the two windings in series.

But, you must power up with a Mains Bulb Tester to check that the phase of the two series connected windings is correct.

You cannot convert a centre tapped transformer to dual secondary, because the series connection is "inside" the winding insulation.

A Centre tTapped requires a single Bridge Rectifier.
A dual secondary converted to Centre Tapped requires a single Bridge Rectifier.
A dual secondary requires dual Bridge Rectifiers.

today I ended with single bridge conf. it was ok. I measured steady 25.4V dc out.
One for more question; I have 35A Vishay bridge rectifier in my hand. Does single one provide enough power for Pass F5 (not turbo one) ?

many thanks for your helps.

A safe and simple way to determine the phase of power transformer windings is to drive the primary with a 60 Hz low voltage like a 6 or 12VAC filament transformer secondary or a 50 Ohm output signal generator. Use a scope, or an ac voltmeter to see when the windings connected in series add rather than cancel. That's the right connection, and that common point is grounded.

use a bulb tester.
