Ok, is the output side of the cap to signal gnd OK? I guess 1/4W is fine?

Edit: Is this only needed when biasing? Ie. can i just connect it temporarily and remove it when done or should i solder it in?

every preamp , with output cap , is having bleeder resistor as permanent element

it will save you of costly zaps

Thanks once again Zen Mod, i will add the bleeder resistors. Any reason to go higher than 1/4W?

ok, sweet music playing now from the pre I havent dared turn the thing up yet, its quite late and the family is asleep, but it definitely has oodles of gain! Still at 0.9 V bias, will leave it like that for a few days then adjust again. Will post some pictures once its fully up and running.

if you want simplest possible but with good performance , look at reg in PSM LS article
What is "PSM LS" article? I can't find it, or more likely I am missing something
