Default Basic F5 Pot Substitution

I have some really nice 10K potentiometers I would like to use for P1 and P2 in a basic F5 build. The value of R3 and R4 will be changed to 1.8K.

Should be ok, right? Thanks.

increase parallel ones and you're good , even if somewhat limited in setting span

Thanks for the reply. Attached is a picture of the intended part...The watch is a full size men's watch included for scale. I'm trying to put together an F5 using many parts salvaged from linear accelerators.

unless you're making F5 as exhibition apparatus , entirely made in Cpt. Nemo fashion , those trimpots are overkill ....... waaaay overkill

better use them as perfect mono vol. pots , adding one resistor from wiper to gnd

ESP - A Better Volume Control

regular cermet multiturn pots are cheap

I know...Hee-hee!!

Captain Nemo is a great description of where I'm going with this. I want to build something visually stimulating to match the black and chrome finish of my McIntosh MC-30s.

Don't use them. Sometimes overkill is actually too much. This is one of them.

Use those pots somewhere you need the precision, a bias pot being used as a PSU voltage divider is not one of them.

Heck - send me your post and I will send you an entire stick of Bourns trimpots.
