I have just purchased a second hand Pass Labs X350.5 which sounds great.

However, when the amp is warming up, it produces a metallic clicking sound(like a relay sound). This can happen up to a couple of times, and also does the same thing when cooling down, and turned off.

Does anyone know what this may be, and if this is normal for Pass Lab Amps?

Thanks

Hello!

Is the sound coming from the speakers or the amplifier itself?

It can be just the thermal expansion on the amplifier itself as it heats up and cools down (just like a car engine can do after some more "active driving"), not to much to worry about. On the other hand, if it's coming from the speaker you might want to check so that everything is OK with the amp.

Nothing serious. It is the thermal extension of the sinks when they are heating up.
