Blowing Fuses

Everything was fine until yesterday when I started blowing fuses on start up. I'm using a .5 amp fuse. If I bring it up slowly with a variac it works fine. I'm guessing the inrush current is to much for this fuse. What would the proper size fuse for this application? I'm using the ChipAmp power supply which uses two 10000 uF caps.

Oh, there are the two 10000 uF caps on the Pearl Two board as well.

Or put 2 CL60's in series in the PSU. I've done that and I've never blown a 250mA fuse (230V over here)

Good idea. Heck, just one on the live side of the primary would be enough. :)

I put a CL60 between live input and transformer. I can start the PSU by itself, but if I have the pre-amp hooked up I still blows fuses...wierd. Guess I'll try a 1 amp fuse.
