Hi all,

I have two Threshold 400A for refurbishing. They both have washers sitting on the mounting screws between front plate an heatsink. I have never seen these on other models.

I think these spacers are contra productive for the heat dissipation because there is a gap between heatsink and front plate and these are not originally fitted.

Does anybody have experience?

Cheers,
Gerhard

Yes and No...

For Bias adjustment it is a must to have the upper lid closed.
Bias regulation is influenced by the temperature measured on the heatsink's backside.
So why should there be an air stream from bottom to cover lid behind the face plate and not through the heat sink?

Wondering if the washers are the developpers intention...

(besides, there was a lot of dust and other things inside....)

??

Any ideas?
