Wow I guess I'm just too much into tweaking!
I'm at about $1000 on just an F5...
But then I spent way too much $$$ on better resistors, different wire, caps ...

Sounds about where my F5 will end up, too. I'm at $750 with chassis, surplus transformers and caps.

I'm guessing that I've spent around $250 on my F5. But I made the chassis and got a good deal on some caps for the psu. Also it's not a dual mono psu. Still sounds great though.

Just can't worry about it. I'm at about $1000 and only have semiconductors and transformers so far. I am happy to have the opportunity Thanks, NP!

I've built the mini-a, Zen 1, Zen 9, F5 twice, L'amp CCS, L'amp v193.
They all cost between $300~$500, except the Zen 1 which cost less.

My first "real" amp was a used 50w Adcom that I financed for a year same as cash for $250. That was 20 years ago. I guess I'm still trying to keep it at that price range.
