Hello everyone,
I'm considering to bulid a pair of Aleph-2, and the filter cap is what I looking for in these days. I found that the siemens sikorel series have outstanding spec and performance (the "outstanding" price,too.... )One thing I found also insteresting is that the ripple current capability of sikorel is much better than any other very good large-can capacitor. (ex. irc of sikorel 10000uf 63V > RIFA PEH169 22000uf 63V) So I'm wondering if I can use 4 sikorel 10000uf instead of 4 22000uf capacitors as filter capacitor? Is that safe and enough? Thanks! |

you can model your psu with this little nifty tool: http://www.duncanamps.com/psud2/download.html
-you set the standards in your amp. how much ripple is tolerable?
