it isn't changed , "except" introducing bridge resistor ( each halve serving as virtual gnd to other one)

be sure to have bleeder resistors after output caps ; as drawn , FE is part of amp itself , so they aren't necessary

when stage used/packed standalone , they must be implemented

Any issues putting a B-1 in front of a BA-3 for a complete preamp with volume control and input selector?

B1 ( at least active part - buffer itself ) is redundant in that case

Jfet input is having input impedance dominated by value of resistor from gate to GND , in both cases - B1 and BA3 FE

OK. Just need a simple board for volume POT and selector and relays for input selection. Any opinion best way to mount these components? Prototype perfboard? Want to keep it neat and pretty.

bnorrish- Relays? That seems complicated. A rotary switch for input selection would be much easier.

nothing wrong with rotary selector , governing small Takamisawa relays

Even a newb like me could probably handle relays.

After reading (links ZM posted) I have a question: As ZM told for the FE application you need bigger voltage swing, so like ~30V rail, but people are suggest to power BA-3 from the same PSU they use for F4. Will a separate PSU which give ~30V rail be suitable for either applications of BA-3: FE(for F4) and preamp other FW amp?
