Anyone have any suggestions? Solid silver bonded fin heatsinks? Liquid cooling? I like the silver, might look neat too! Real good heat transfer material.

This is no simple undertaking, I won't be done overnight. I did find my 2/0 speaker/jumper wire, and I still have my soldering station/power supply, It says miller on it and it's blue and has a 20 hp v twin.

i hope you'r not serious about this.
that will demand a X'ed cuircut. with +/-70V rails and 16A bias pr half.
and a dissipation of about 4500W pr ch. with 120V mains, you are looking at almost 40A Draw pr ch. good luck

Of course im serious. Spot on. 220 mains. I tend to believe in what some call impossible. I remember seeing carver silver 7's. I don't think they ran off of a 9v battery.

Well, yes and no. 2 years ago I was hooked on painkillers, I just got home. I would lay in my bunk at night wandering about how my wife was ever going to support this place, and my son. Now my home is falling apart and I have applied for welfare. I turned wrenches for a living, even for a celebrity, 23 years gone in a flash and I never meant for this to happen. I realize now, that working and slaving on cars ruined my body bad. I can never look back. Those 2 years off hell straightened my life out and I realize now I have just wasted a lot of talent and want to work on passion.

My wife stood by me throughout the darkest of times, now it's time to make her proud she married me. Eimenem recovery "im not afraid" is also inspirational to me right now. Listen to it once..

I want to make 2 sets, and give one to the man himself as a litle reward at a burning amp festival, for all he has done for the world, aren't we all greatful?

So am I happy, who wouldn't be.........

Priced one out at around $200, but they said it was a guess. 2x55 x 2500 220v in. That's a great company, torroid of Md. I have one in my aleph now. (just one monoblocks worth).

and around 1.500.000uF cap bank pr ch. and a softstart AND a slowcharge that can handle this. and you will need some serious mains to handle this. 9000W at idle.
just forget it.

Why not have a custom three phase transformer wound?

And with that much heat to sink I would go liquid and bury a giant heat exchanger in the ground.

my MC prepre is idling at 100W , my I/V stage , stereo balanced is idling at 300W

my next amp will idle at 6KW (mono) , serving as modulator for my FM xmitter , tube of course

35KW , without antenna gain

Can't quit, I started it. I still think the whole thing can weigh around or less than an x1000.5 5kw per side should be a nice sized transformer, and your right caps aren't cheap. Still researching, thanks for the input! 56pounds.
