J2 for home theater applications?

Hello, everyone,

New here. With a strange quesiton.

I have a First Watt J2 on my way. I would like to mate it with my Altec 846A speakers for music.

The same speakers also searve as the main speakers for my 5.1 home theater. So my question is, will J2 be fine for home theater applications? (Really don't want to swith the plugs etc.) Can it handle the dynamics? Anyone try that?

I guess I can try to find out when my unit arrives. Still I think it is a good idea to ask because I don't want funny things happen to my gears.

most probably everything else you have for 5.1 setup - is drek , comparing to J2

Zen, thanks. If J2 works great for the main speakers in 5.1 movies, I might get crazy enough to add another two for center and surround. All my speakers are very sensitive.

Dude, you are going to have a kick asss 5.1. Altec and J2. Good lord. Do you have any idea of what is coming your way? What have you used int he past?

I am using Halcro SSP180 and Proceed AMP5.
