Can anyone help with the information provided with the following Aleph-X PCB dead links? They are available at :
Original Aleph-X PCB discussion And quoted from HiFiZen's message: Here are the final versions of the Beta schematics, bill of materials, and board layout preview generated from the gerber files. rev0.9 schematic rev0.9 layout snapshot rev0.9 bill of materials Regards, Dan |

My apologies to the group. I had just made this post when I discovered HifiZen's recently posted rev. 1.0 zipfile.

Yep. The beta/rev0.9 boards were just the prototype from last year. Those links are to a server I used to have, which no longer exists. I don't think anyone needs the rev0.9 schematics any more, but I still have that info if anyone wants it. Otherwise, as dantwomey points out, the rev1.0 info package is the most recent, and is hosted right here on the diyaudio server.

Did you check my additions to your wiki page? I'm anxious to hear your feedback. Is this new pcb order just going to be a repeat of the previous board without any modifications? |

Thank you Netlist. I appreciate the comments. I've noted that lots of people have Aleph-X boards but few people have actually built them and I think that questions about the power supply is a big reason. I have posted some ideas that I would like to refine in this thread but the responses have been slow. I can't say that I blame the membership in light of the accessability of information with other competing projects like the gainclone.

Would the Zen V5 power supply work for the Aleph X?

A power supply could be designed for both if they are made to use the same rail voltage but keep in mind that the Aleph-X will require twice the amps. |

How is the "unipower" design going? What voltage rails were you planning on using? |
