I just picked up a Stasis 2. It does not sound as good as my 4000's. I am using a Pioneer Vsx-59txi as pre-amp instead of a Threshold like with the 4000's. Every time I replace the line/power fuse with a fast blow it opens. It operates fine with the standard one it had in. I can not find schematic.
I never replaced any parts in my 4000's. Is that dangerous after all these years? What should I replace and with what? I almost purchased a Nakamichi PA-7. How do the compare to the Thresholds? The one I was looking at could be powered by 220v. Would that sound the same? Save energy? Thanks!
