Hello. I'm new to the forum and to DIY audio. I recently discovered the work of Nelson Pass through a friend. Mr Pass, thanks for all you're doing!

Now I'm building a (Nelson Pass' Mosfet) Citation 12 to pair with my Sonus Faber Minima (4.5" woofer, low sensitivity, not-so-easy load - kill my Naim Nait 5i on the low freqs).

As I don't own a preamplifier yet I'm wondering whether the input sensitivity of the Citation 12 will allow for direct connection to a source (CD, DAC...) or through a no-gain buffer like the B1.

If the above is possible and before I build the buffer/preamp can I use a pot (maybe 25K log?) between the source and the power amp to regulate the volume or will it somehow compromise the output signal of the source?

Thanks in advance.

Cristian
