Today gonna try higher Rs on top fet, keeping lower Rs @.1R-.15R. I will also try the cap connection switch as well at these values.

Secondary ideas:
Attach upper cap above jfet, turning it into CCS....I think
Adding 120R resistor from output to V-
Using R085 in lower postition with low to no Rs

I encourage anybody following to try this one thing though. Connect top cap below Rs on upper half and then do same for lower half. After listening, kill power and take upper cap and connect above Rs in upper half. Listen again. Tell me what you hear. TBH, this should work on any fet.

BTW, stock Rs values for my setup are .1, but I am going to play around with this.

........

1. just disconnect the cap ; I'm lazy to think what trouble you can cause with connecting it to U+

2.can't harm ...... THD spectra , yakyak

3. probably you'll not hear difference

Just thought about #1:D I was thinking it would give 100 percent feedback and turn upper fet into common drain/source follower

Question for any who would like to comment. I want to run FE Jfets with no Rs. What is better in your opinion? 79XX/78XX series regs or cascoded FE?

Zen Mod 15th September 2012 02:08 PM

cascoded FE

Melon Head 15th September 2012 10:19 PM

Zen Mod 16th September 2012 04:24 AM
