Hi,

to use the Aleph P1.7 power supply with 50V output, I just change the zener diodes voltage drops to = 50V?

How much load current does this circuit need to properly regulate? What value load resistor to insure it's regulating?

Th transformer is 50V 1A.

Thanks

this one...

was planning something like 5.8V Zeners x 9 = 52.2V

but again, not sure about the Vgs voltage as you mentioned, so maybe
better to add trimmer to tweak in for 50V.

thanks

leave everything as is , regarding resistor values

you'll have final voltage in range (9x5V8)-Ugs ~ slightly under 50V

Ugs is voltage between gate and source , needed that mosfet is open

so - when you have 52V2 on gate , source will be on lower voltage ....

with resistors you can't set voltage , they aren't here for that

for learning purpose, the 2.21K is to limit the current through the zeners and something more? the 4.7K along with the zener string gives the Vgs?
trying to learn a little more besides just soldering it together...

btw, I miss Pipi Longstocking shows. I grew up watching those adventures. My wife hates her, says she teaches children to be rebellious. I never saw it that way, just was a lot of fun to watch because she was kick *** strong :D
