I've owned a pair of these since June 1 2012. I am one of (probably the only) those rare few idiots who prefers breaking in gear via the excruciating process of listening-while-breaking-in. I have an estimated 70hrs on them and, while the lower end is sorta coming along, top-end frequency/performance is severely lagging. Having been through the process with a custom-built amp, I did at least "see" some evidence of of top-end performance and where things would eventually end up. By this, I mean experiencing that real, emotional, palpable sizzle of a cymbal - akin to throwing a wet piece of bacon into 350 degree oil. It just seems these guys may never come around.
Thanks in advance for any intel and/or related stories. Scott |
