hello,
I have a question

At the Moment i`m collecting missing part for my aleph 60 clone.

Ive read there are some Problems using irf 9610 for Input stage.

I`ve looked at fairchild and they have the FQP3P20 as alternative.

What do you mean is it a good idea to use them or better take the irf parts?

thanks for a answer if anybody had tryed it

Why an Aleph 60? Do you want organize concerts or do you have unefficient speakers - 80 dB/W/m - or do you live in a hall?
May be, an Aleph 3 or Mini-Aleph is the better choice.
May be, an "Aleph-Zen" is the better choice: ONE psu, without different-amp in feedback.
Much more better: "Zen-XA".

What sort of speakers do you have? Multi-way? In big wooden cases?

LG

I already have an Aleph J and F5 im pretty happy with them.
I wanted to build a bigger amp, to maybe drive not so easy Speakers.

At Moment my Speakers are easy to drive i have a pair KEF iQ7SE
and These: diffusori Tipsy by Alberto Bellino
Maybe i will later build a pair duetta`s so more power is needed.
Ore looking for some used dynaudio contour 3.4.
Heard them by a friend, they Sound fantastic. But 86db at 4ohm isnt high Efficiency.

If i have a Little bit time i will post some pics of my slow progress

All these speakers must be tuned very very hard, before they sound fairly. In my mind. Their problems are the build in of the speakers, the rumble-, flat-, grey-sounding wooden-case and the toooooo complex crossovers on boards and the inner wire and so on. Much much work.
Do you use for the Aleph 60 boards?

LG

Pics

Pics shows mainly PSU and boards for the output devices.

Next step will be complete psu wiring + test.

Then building a softstart for the psu.
