I have a lot of both BUZ900 and BUZ905 (Magnatec) in my stock, initially intended to be used in another Hybrid amp (push-pull Class A with 5687 driver), which I put on ice for now.
A friend said to me that this amp with these Mosfet's would sound "like from another" world. Would they be suitable to be used in a Pass amp, such the 5 or the Penultimate Zen (the one I'm interested in)...? Could'n find any IRFP044, 140, 240 or 244 here .Thanks, - dan |

i think the transconductance of these mosfet is too low ,
maybe in push-pull circuit will be better than hexfet , in aleph circuit i only think hexfet is the best.

Thanks Mister Pass, but can I try without major changing, and without danger?
They are expensive... - dan |
