Why not? Need to find a facility with a dozen solder stations or so.

But as my first real musical electronics project this was an amazing time, with amazing people, and coming out of it with 2 amazing amps is just straight exhilarating.

So now, Im trying to figure out how to pair speakers to this (again total beginner). Jason was saying something about this ends up being a 5 watt class a power amp, which requires high sensitivity speakers (95db+). But I'm not exactly sure what this means or how to find a good match. Any advice, or questions about the camp and my experience there?
I think this would be a good intro. THere is a thread with the Tilte EMKEN. Check it out.

Tell us more about your experience. Who taught the electronics part? I find it amazing that you built 2 amps in one day! A fast learner you are.

Maybe I should do one in Europe...

Great idea. May begin with an introductory Pre-Amp Camp, then following it with Amp camp [your choice of amp; maybe a chip] and ending it with Loudspeaker camp. The newbie DIYer will have a [complete] stereo system to enjoy.

It won't work because 2SK82 is a depletion mode device. Read the article you two lazy bones, it's in the last sentence of the "Parts" section...

Why this amp not work with the CCS on top of depletion mode device? I believe that is all he was asking about.

It won't because the depletion mode device asks for another type of biasing - you'd need negative Vgs for Q1 (in the article it's positive)...

The discussion is beyond the scope of the article. I apologize.

Just completed this amp with p2p connection. Sounds nice for such a small classA amp. I'm using BC550B which only gives 0.58V instead of 0.65V. How can I compensate for the biasing difference? Thanks.
