Hello Mr. Nelson and everybody, I have a question for you: I'd want to use the B1 inside a NAD C350, to get the signal
between the pre and power stage, to drive an active subwoofer. In the NAD is present a +- 18V stabilized power supply stage so I might use this to supply the B1, but I fear that the 15000 uF after the 1 ohm resistance can overload the stage turning power on, so this is the question: Can I avoid to use the first 15000 uF cap and maintain the 2nd after the 10k ohm resistor, useful to avoid bump in the output? In general, what do you suggest about this? Attached a schematic of the +-18 volt NAD supply stage. Thank you very much! |

Why do you need a buffer inside the receiving equipment?
Or, are you describing an extra output being fed by the buffer? |

exactly! I'd want to add an extra output leaving untoached the internal signal path.

Dap into that first smoothing cap for +ve power and into AGND for -ve power. Do not connect to any of the PSU grounding for the B1 -ve supply.

So, have i to connect the +18V input of the B1 to the 2200 uF cap in the scheme leaving it as it is, with both 15000 uF caps? So, can I use B1 with a not stabilized supply?

You can use a B1 with a DC wall wart style PSU. You can't get much worse than them.
