Default Amp for Pass B1

I'm looking for an amp that will mate well with the Pass B1 (if their is such a thing). I'm not a real DIY'er and have a kindergarten level of comprehension when it comes to talking audio, so please go easy on me.

I have PSB Synchrony One's which are 4 ohm, 89db sensitivity. I don't need loud, I just want something that will compliment the B1 and what it does below $500.

Any advice or suggestions would be great! Thanks guys.

Whatever you go with, make sure it has at least 20db of gain. B1 is a unity gain buffer.

The B1 is a superb pre and it deserves a good amp... are you open to diy? You could go for a diy F5. Boards are available from this site. And chassis will also be available here soon. Boards, chassis and parts can easily come under $500.

I actually have the DCB1 on the way. I'm open to DIY but can't stand trying to source parts. I'd rather try and find someone who has built one and buy it from them. Are you guys selling? I might put an ad in the swap meet.

So which amp would be better for the DCB1, the DIY F5 or Aleph J?

They are both variations on great sound... you'll probably be happy with either, but may prefer the sound of one over the other. F5 is just a little simpler because of the boards available through this site.
