Dear Friends,

I have got an Audio note (two stage 6072A) line amp. on hand which makes some modification on the coupling capacitor. I like this as it is so simple in configuration and the sound really nice.

I am now going to bulid up a power amp. PassDIY Aleph 60 seems to be the goals. Running at Class A with a 2 stage of amplification.

Can anyone adivse me the following :

1) I have got the cct. diagram of Aleph 60 but the diagram does not mention the value for R1 , do anyone have any idea?

2) Do you have some great idea on the PCB layout?

3) I would like to use the RMA carbon resistor, will it be making the amplifier more musical (actually thats what I want)

4) Good tips in building this amp.?

Like to hear your advise.

One of them, I forget which, allows you to trim the DC offset
if you wish. The other reduces ripple noise by injecting a
little bit of noise from the supply out of phase. Both are
high values, like 100K for instance.

Both can be left off, and neither is significant with regard to
the sound itself.
