I'm not an expert but... it's rated at 500 W, so I don't see why it wouldn't work. It would, however, be nice to know the DC resistance, which wasn't specified on the BG Micro site. You could calculate how much current that gives you as a function of a range of DC resistances (fractions of an ohm I guess) and see if that meets your needs.
