no. Q5/6 is coscode transistors
an the beta boards that i have it is wrong marking. but thats no problem![]() yes i know. but it's better to hand tap it when it's not a hole all the way thrue

Thank you AudioSan. I just ran across a post #365 from Buzz describing the XA160.5 and more Fets with lower bias. No matter how many times I read a thread, I always find something new.

i did fire up my front-end today. just to make sure the cascode section is working. and it does.
with 25V rails i got 7.4V on J-fets drain relative to Gnd. R25/26 is 10K R27/28 is 4.75K

I have my fingers crossed that someone will come through with an F5Tv2 in a 5U chassis from the store as a dual channel amp. I know that at least someone has thought about that setup.. it must be..

The 5u chassis will handle the heat from a V2. Might eve. Get away with v3 at half bias and no diodes. They will sound different.
