I am building a new 8-channel amp. 4 aleph 60's and 4 alep30's in one big case
It is an extention from my stereo-system to 5.1 (all active). My question is; As all 8 unbalaced inputs are connected to one active filter, so sharing the signalground, should I connect all powersupply ground (from all 8 Aleph's) to eachother? All 8 amps are in one case, should I consider it to be one amp or as 8 amps in one case? What's the best internal wiring? All seperate or all together?

that , with proper layout of power buses and input cables , will give you hum free operation. hopefully

you said :
Quote:
if you connect those PSUs ( read - PSU grounds) ditto to safety gnd , you'll have gnd loop between inputs and PSU side gnds when you connect those PSU gnds via 10-20R NTCs , that resistance is usually enough to avoid gnd loops read Pass papers - there you'll find pretty clear and often humorous explanation for all important audio things

like this?
http://www.dz3w.com/uploadfile/2010/...5101057521.gif in the right lower corner, the thermistor? From circuit and chassis ground to the NTC to the AC outlet ground.

sort of , but not exactly
look in F5 pdf , for instance there are two NTC's - one in-line with mains (as soft start) , and another one between gnd and chasiis , which is directly on safety gnd
