My tech buddy was over the other day listening to my HT setup. He restored all the Thresholds in this picture, which consists of a S-200, SA-3, and two S-300s (all with optical bias).
He was impressed with the sound and the rack of Thresholds, so he suggested I take a picture and post it. So, here is the stack of Thresholds, and my warmest thaks to Nelson Pass for helping us out answer occasional questions with correcting bias problems. If you thought HT surrond recordings were gimmicks, you may re-think that once you provide the speakers with Threshold amps. Classical recordings espcially sound outstanding with this setup. The front end is a Modwright Oppo BD-83SE Nuforce unit, fed int a Classe SSP-300 (7.1) direct. The speakers are all Legacy Audio, which are great matches for the Thresholds. |
